A very general/informal discourse on the act of Absinthe Drinking

Ok. So I just drank a good amount of Absinthe that was only 2% wormwood, 55% alcohol. I, with 3 friends, discussed some shit that I have never spoken to people about, and had a wonderful time with it. I feel like I am in an extremely articulate and deep state right now and I enjoy it very much. Anyone have anything to share, or anything to ask? I'm going to sleep, but I will revisit this topic (to my own dismay or pleasure, we'll see) in the morning. Hope everyone's having a lovely night!

I never drink one o those things but i drank really cheap red wine and white wine so im not as drunk as U when a drink to much, but I have this stupid things when im drunk I tend to smile and laugh my self silly, not to mentioned causing trouble for my friends

Back in my "experimentz with drugz lolzorz" days I got ahold of about two ounces of dried wormwood and put quite a bit of effort into getting high. All it'll do is make you slightly drowsy and relaxed. That's all any of the rip-off legal herbal crap ever does, with the exception of wild lettuce extract.

It gives you something kinda like a weed high, but with the frosted-out heroin-style overtone to it, although I'd say it's closer to fentanyl than heroin. You can't smoke it like real opium though, because it's so massively weak it'll do nothing.

What you do is you buy a gram ball of it, and swallow it like a pill, and expect to be high for the rest of the day.

Yeah, a gram's not much, this stuff is pretty weak. But it does give a good high if you take enough of it. Probably not the kinda high an experimentwithdruzlolz kinda person is looking for, though, since it's straight-up opiods.

I think I had something like 4 shots in a fairly short amount of time, and the shot glass was actually a little bigger than a shot. Definitely got the really talkative part of it, but we all enjoyed that state (there were 4 of us).

my favorite is Absinthium 1792 (it's Czech, 70%, 32 mg thujone i think). it made me giggly and happy and everything looked really sparkly, although it might've just been placebo effect. who knows. it was very nice though... and, um, i had no explosive outcomes the next day. ;p

Yeah, when I was in Amsterdam I don't think we could find any absinthe with wormwood in it, and I kept getting disappointed and taking more and more as the days progressed. It was a fun drunk, but nothing special. I think I may try and order some off the internet just for the hell of it.

I've tried that before and it looks really cool, but it made my shit really warm and grosser to drink. I also thought, "Hmm... that's my alcohol burning away," so I decided to just pour water over the sugar from then on.

You're supposed to do that to Bohemian absinthe, not French absinthe.
