Earlier tonight, there were some ants on the kitchen floor, so I sprayed them.
About 10 minutes ago, I got up from the computer to throw something away, forgot the ant spray was on the floor, stepped in it and I went downnnnn.
I now have a scraped elbow, blue wrist and swollen knee. Owwww, it hurts.
:-(

At least you didn't fall face down into a pile of dead ants in some ant spray.

One time, someone spilled some soda at a party I had, and I wiped it up but was drunk and forgot about it. The next day, I saw some ants near the spill, so I kneeled down to squash them. Shortly after, I realized they were everywhere, and I was kneeling in a whole ton of them. I freaked out, jumped, and ended up further in the pile of them... it was so sick.

That happened to me soooooooo often when I lived home, except it happened because I would iron my clothes and when I sprayed them with starch, some would land on the ground and make me slip later :(

Serves you right for murdering ants. I love ants.

Seriously though, at least you didn't break a hip. You need to be more careful.

Ok, really seriously this time, have a speedy recovery.

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but make sure you didn't get any antspray on that scrape on your elbow. Sucks about the clumsiness.

I can relate to this big time. I'm incredibly clumsy, so I do something like this at least once a week.

I hope you heal up quickly.

ooo, ouchies. :/ be careful!! did you try some ice on that knee? always helps a little bit, even days after it happened.

the other day I was sitting in the lady's position on the back of my boyfriend's bike & some fuck was standing still with his bike in the middle of the bike path & because I couldn't see anything coming with my boyfriend sitting in front of me & all, I unexpectedly hit my shin REAL hard against the back of the dude's bike. it's all bruised & swollen up & I can't stand the idea that now I'll go through life with not only a bump on my right shin (previous little accident), but also one on my left shit. I'm so vain, lolz.

Yikes, that's something that would happen to me too. Except I'd probably break the kitchen in the process.

Tizz, maybe you recognise the following, since you're not exactly tall, either; (except you're not as blonde, which is kind of a condition for establishing the following)
to reach the microwave/oven at my parents', I always had to stand on a chair. so one time I was making me a quick delicious pizza (home alone), while on the phone with a friend. when the microwave buzzed that it was done, I stepped on the chair (still on the phone), looked through the window at how delicious it had turned out & (at the same time) pressed the button to open the microwave door. it banged against my head, I fell backwards, broke everything I could possibly break that was in my direct surrounding & ended up laughing my bruised butt off while STILL on the phone.

Oh wow, nice one!

I always have to stand on things (even to look in the mirror!!!!!!) and I manage to always fall off//have things fall on my head in the process. It's quite frustrating.

Thanks everyone, except for Justin.

I'm better today, but very sore and bruised. Everything moves OK, so no broken bones! I should be good as new in a few days.

haha I hate ants. I don't think I have to worry about breaking a hip for at least another 1o years! Thanks!

My scraped elbow was the other side of the ant spray. Wasn't really clumsiness, just bare foot on slippery antspray! I haven't fallen for a very long time before last night. That floor is HARD!!!

I put ice on my knee and wrist. Made them hurt even more!

That's one big oopsie, Linda cocotte. I'm sorry for you indeed. Physical injuries are awful. I hate them with a passion. I tend to bruise my knees all the time around my bedposts, it's most irksome. Especially as I tend to kick back when I've hurt myself, & that only aggravates matters. I also tend to wear shoes that peel off my skin completely on the little toes (thinnest layers of skin you'd ever see, believe me). Imagine your little pinky toe all red-raw & how it'd feel. Eh, schadenfreude. I hear you can't be totally happy unless you know others are unhappy. Works both ways. If you're unhappy, learning that others share in your unhappiness makes you somehow more comfortable. That's what they say anyway. It can't be all untrue, however sadistic it sounds. Otherwise ppl wouldn't be oversharing their tales of woe.

You'll recover with time. Lady Convalescence will soon smile on you, dear Linda. At some point you may even start to look upon your bruises with a feeling akin to tenderness.
