i think its mainly (or should be) for discussing old shows. while it doesnt do any harm people suggesting where they would like the offspring to tour as you say, there are posts suggesting venues that can be played which i think is fine. i just dont see the point of of people writing "please play......." etc.

no disrespect to anyone who posts here, but although the band and people connected to the band may read these posts from time to time, realistically i doubt they are gonna think "yeah we havent toured there in a while" etc. they have a tour manager and agents who arrange this sort of thing, its stupid some people seem to think its down to the band not caring about their fans!

i just think it pointless people writing these "come to" threads, people do them and then no one replies to them. its not gonna make a difference as to where they play on the next tour!

I'm thinking they go where the cd sales are strong, as an indication of a fanbase. So it just means instead of burning cd's for friends, make them buy their own.

It dosent' metter if the cd's sales are strong, because in the US u have 300 million people, so there will be much more sales there, than let's say..here in Israel, where u only have 7 million people, which means that the punk and hardcore scene here are much smaller than in the US, cuz there's no people to form a scene that will be strong enough to bring alot of bands here. so if a band comes to cities and countries because of sales and not because of the fans, they only care about the money, and not about their fans - those who supported them all along! (although HATEBREED were just here and they said that we're a crazy crowd...but that's something else).

another thing, there are places where there almost no CD's to buy, I'll give you guys another example from israhell - there is no room for punk, hardcore or metal in the media here, because the people who listen to this kinds of music are a minority in israel, there are only 3000 people here who come to shows, and i'm not talking about every show. in gigs in israel you don't see more then 500 people, and that's when everybodies saying "Shit! there are alot of people here!!!". so anyway, because that there is no room for what we call "good music" in the media, the companies that sell CD's in israel (Tower Records and Tzlil) don't bring enough CD's here...too many black metal, but not enough hardcore and punk.

And anyway, fighting each other and cursing because "It's not a forum to bag the band to come" or because "you're a fuck-tard" won't help this forum at all, and it sux that you're fighting...never heard to phraise "Punx unite"? or you're just a bunch of 14 yo kids who listen to the offspring because their'e on MTV??

anyway you guys suck, music is all about unity, not violence and stupidity!

we arent just 14 year olds who listen to the offspring because of mtv. its just been pointed out that realistically, the offspring arent going to play anywhere and everywhere people request.

unfortunately as you say, the tours are about money, they need to make profit rather than just touring everywhere to please fans!
