Seriously, kids, give it a rest, nothing you have to say is the least bit interesting, important, or necessary.

There's this kid that I went to school with who would would go on a huge rant every time he'd be near a conversation about something popular. For example, once I was talking about House with some friends, and he jumped in and told us all how much House sucks and how predictable and dull it is, even though no one in the conversation gave two shits about what he had to say. Everyone just kind of ignored him and kept talking amongst our little group.

Something tells me that at Dain's school, Dain is that kid.

Come on, I watch popular movies and listen to popular music. (Although it's not popular NOW) I'm not that kid.
It's just ridiculous how many movies nowadays have penguins in them. It's a fucking fad.

So what. Movies have fads, just like everything else. Remember last year? Farm animals. Penguins will be done with soon, and then moviegoers will embrace a new fad of animated movies. It's just how it works, and it's pointless getting annoyed by it.

How is it a fad? I've only heard of March Of The Penguins, that stupid parody of March of the Penguins and Happy Feet that came out this year.

You're right! I never saw it from that perspective before! I can't imagine living without this AMAZING dash of insight! Thanks for sharing this with everyone, because I know that no one else has noticed the suddenly large amount of movies with penguins, nonetheless animated ones who may or may not dance! I was living a lie thinking that they were entirely original ideas!

Remember when you stole things from other people? I'd suggest doing that more; you sound less moronic.

You missed the point. The point I was making is that you getting angry or annoyed by something so pointless is dumb, and you feeling the need to point out that it's everywhere even though everyone already realizes that is just as dumb. So yes, you are that kid.

The new cool thing is to like really cheesy popular things, and tell people they're trying to hard to be a nonconformists when they say they don't like them.

You forgot the one about the surfing penguins. And didn't a penguin have a starring role in Madagascar? Or Over the Hedge?

SkunkIt

Oh yeah! But Madagascar was a good movie. Now I agree the pengiuns are overdone. But don't worry, cause you can always switch to the real life fad of celebrities and politicians who went to AA.

if by "stupid parody" you mean Farce of the Penguins, you are sorely mistaken. that movie is pure gold. where else are you going to hear bob saget, christina applegate, and lewis black sing about penguin butt love?

That doesn't sound funny, but i'll have to see the movie, but the previews looked unfunny.

The penguins are only a small piece of the fad. The real fad is the drift from cartoons to 3D-animation.

I miss cartoons. Now everything is done on computers. A sad day in the light-box and tracing-paper industry.

I have no problem with 3D animated movies, but it's the old school games that are still made and are 3D, I have a problem with most of them. They should of stopped making Sonic games a long time ago, they suck ass now and are all 3D and they look retarted.

The Sonic Advance series are where you should go if you want the same feel as the old school Sonic games.

I haven't played the 3D ones, but I figure they'll eventually have to put a good one out.

Sonic Adventure for the Dreamcast was epic. It was faulty and had camera problems, but it was still a GREAT game.

I made the horrible mistake of buying Sonic and the Secret Rings for the Wii. I was never too into Sonic like, ever but it looked like a decent game until, of course, I had it. Waste of fifty dollars (which I got back immediately).

Penguins are cool. However, I haven't seen any of these movies you speak of, since I fucking hate all of those animated haha-movies like Shrek and whatever. So, basically, my "penguins are cool" statement is only based on:

It's all about Pingu!

And yeah, I haven't really bothered with animated films in awhile, none of them will ever live up to the un-filtered genius that was/is Toy Story.

ilovellamas

Toy Story 2 was okay!

But seriously, Toy Story is the best 3d animated film ever made. A few others were good, like A Bugs Life and Antz and Small Soldiers... but the newer ones have been more of let downs. Monsters Inc and Finding Nemo were just kinda meh... I sort of liked the Incredibles... and Madagascar and A Shark Tale were pretty good. But I can't think of another one of those 3d movies that was as good as Toy Story. I can't STAND Shrek. Ugh.

Jakebert
06-01-2007, 10:58 AM
Toy Story was great because it was the first one, so it didn't try to duplicate all of the other popular ones. The newer ones are all lame attempts at being rapid-fire and quirky, and they almost all fail. With the exception of the Incredibles, of course, since Brad Bird is an animation genius.

There's one coming out next year that sounds good. I forget the exact plot, but large portions of the plot are done without dialogue and it's supposed to be fairly genre-breaking for a Pixar movie. I forget what the name is, though.

It's probably because 1) I love Owen Wilson and 2) superhero movies aren't so much my thing, while I thought Cars was a more clever plot.

If it involves robots that pick up trash and debris and a space station in the future, I think I know which movie you're talking about.

It's nice to see people who hate Shrek. All of my friends seem to love it and God, I can't stand it.

I can barely remember Toy Story 2 but I definitely remember how awesome the first one is. A Bugs Life was boring. Antz was kinda cool. But my personal favourite is Chicken Run. <3

And I hate you for loving Owen Wilson.
