the name of the band they said was suggested by james, they wanted to change the name for whatever reason and that was the only name they could agree on!

the offspring seem to avoid some questions, like on a recent youtube interview someone posted they sarcastically told the interviewer they werent going to talk about why they left epitaph.

Because no one could remember the name manic subsidal. It's on the Greatest Hits DVD or CD, I think it's the CD. They were like "great show, but what's your band name again?"

They where named Manic Subsidal and they had alot of band member changes at that time so they figured that they had to change their name aswell. And they came up with The Offspring (offspring to Manic Subsidal).

From alot of reading and listening at interviews, you learn alot of stuff that way. And i think that they will play some new stuff at Summer Sonic, otherwise it would be strange. The Japanese fans probably expect them to do so, they cant just come back to Summer Sonic with totally old material when they have a whole new album ready.

Yes, they changed from Manic Subsidal to The Offspring, but that was also because it was synonym of The Descendents, one of their favourite bands!

I’ve already got pictures with them and their autographs. I would like to get the enlarged pictures that I took in London at the Brixton gig autographed. But I definitely think that doing a round of Jager shots with them would be more fun and memorable. I had a nice time when I did a round with Atom in December 2006.:D I was able to get the additional items (pictures that I had taken) autographed and do the Jager shot with Atom then. Hopefully they will have time then next time I see them.:cool:
