Problem with my MP3

Hey guys i really need your help. i`ve asked a few people and nobody has been able to help me so I hope you can...
I have a problem (as the name of the thread says) with my MP3 player. It is new, I got it today. But I don`t know what the hell is wrong with it, I put some songs in it just to test it and now I turn it on and then comes in the name of the mark (wich is "curtis") and then the damn thing just turns off...and it`s not the "hold" button.
Anybody knows/has passed through this and is able to help me? Any suggestion/commentary/help will be very appreciated. Thanks

i'd say let it charge for like... 6 hours. then if it doesn't work, let the battery drain and charge it again.

is there a reset button or combination?

maybe its faulty, if it doesnt work either read the manual, swap it for another one of get a refund

Yep, like he said. If after a while it don't work, bring it back for a refund or to swap it.
