The film will be narrated by skateboarding legend Tony Hawk, and will also feature bands including Rancid, Green Day, Bad Religion, Blink 182, NOFX and many more.

Really? The 90s "era" of punk is my favorite, sure the movie might suck (due to the Hawk involvement). Based on what i've heard about this (and Punks Not Dead), i'd say that this looks like the more interesting film.

That's probably because you don't know enough about old school punk to realize how important it is. A lot of the 90s "punk" was really more just pop. As far as interest goes, a movie that includes all aspects of punk, I think, will be way more interesting.

Honestly guy that is the stupidest thing that I’ve read here in a while. I’m not suggesting that 90s “punk” is more important than punk from the 70s or 80s, just that I find it to be more interesting. Secondly just because music has more of a "pop" influence doesn't automatically make it bad. Punk from the 70s and 80s have already been covered to death, check out films such as The Decline of Western Civilization , End of the Century and American Hardcore. Does anyone really want to watch another documentary on the Ramones or 80s hardcore? The 90s "era" of punk is usually overlooked, its nice to see that its finally getting some recognition.

Errr, did you read his post? I didn't read where pop = bad in there. He just stated facts. And he said it would be more interesting if they include all aspects of punk (inc., but not limited to, pop punk). I agree.
