I was registering at these other forums (the name is not important) and when I clicked the register button, it said: The administrator has banned your E-Mail adress." This confused the heck out of me. First off, I've never even posted in that forum before, and second, I just made that e-mail adress a couple of hours ago. How could the administrator gotten my e-mail adress and banned it? Kinda creepy, actually...

Perhaps you're not the first person in the world to use this e-mail adress, and perhaps the previous user was stupid enough to get banned.

But you can't create an e-mail adress the same as someone else...it has to be different. And I've never been on that website.

Some admins ban people signing up from hotmail, yahoo, gmail to cut down on crap.. doesnt work. Maybe it was something like that?

You can, it's just a matter of the adress not being taken at the moment. When you're inactive for some amount of time, e-mail providers usually delete your account.

What does your email address end with? Because some admins ban stuff such as @mail.ru to prevent spam.

It ends with @hotmail. I don't know why you'd ban that. :confused:

The only one I want to make is hotmail, though. It's easy and I like keeping with the same one

Just for that forum make a different hotmail account.

What do you need the email for anyway? If it's just one of those confirmation thingys, you can use http://email.bugmenot.com/

But I suppose it's best to contact the admin.
