Sorry if this has been requested a million times but can somebody upload me some Bad Religion?

I have-
Recipe For Hate
No Control
Stranger Than Fiction
How Could Hell Be Any Worse?
Against The Grain

I'd like to give the band another chance with a more mature ear. Anything I don't have yet would be very much appreciated but I haven't heard any of Suffer yet.

I prefer it over Hitler Bad, Vandals Good, and it's vastly superior to the two (I think? not counting the new comp thing) that've come out since then. I'll try to get the Quickening up later if I remember. It's almost on par with Live Fast, Diarrhea I think.

I've just found a torrent with their whole discography and I can upload it if 128kbps quality satisfies you. Currently there are 6 seeders and 9 leechers so it shouldn't take much time to download. So, as I say, I can upload the torrent if you want me to.

I'm fond of the title track from Bleed American and Clarity is a pretty decent album from what I remember. Their more recent stuff has a tendency to just BARELY stick out among the generic radio-pop-punk scene for the most part.

Dudley gave a few people he trusted with the password to a secret link on Fat Wreck to stream NOT DOWNLOAD the D4 album. Some douche bag got a hold of it on his own who was not anyone Dudley told and posted in on Vinyl Collective. That could very well be it. I just remembered a .txt file or a list on some other messageboard. I guess that's the upgraded version of it.

I might start playing bass for these guys, but until then, it's just my friend who plays guitar/sings and his friend who drums. They're really, really fucking good, and I'm legitimately excited that I was even considered for bassings.

Right, so I don't normally frequent this thread that much. However, I felt compelled to share an album I've been digging a lot lately. It's called "Good Arrows" and it's by a British band called Tunng. Their genre has been somewhat accurately labeled "folktronica." It's pretty mellow stuff. Good nighttime music. They have a male and a female singer. The latter's voice kinda reminds me of whats-her-name from Evanescence, but it sounds pretty good in this genre. "Bullets" is their single and by far the catchiest song. My personal favorite is "Hands," which is softer, a little Beatley, with really clear and provocative lyrics.

Okay, so I got this leaked copy of Animal!/Not Animal by Margot & The Nuclear So And So's.

Um, if you like music, you'd dig this? Think the exact middle between Cursive and Sufjan Stevens: it has the electric guitars and the power, but it's also got the landscaping full eight-piece band and everything.

I don't know, it's fanfuckingtastic, check this review:

So I'm a third of the way through my first listen of Margot and the Nuclear So and So's new record Animal! -- well, the first of their two simultaneous releases, I should say, the other being Not Animals -- and good grief, man, they did it. Transcended my expectations, that is. Completely. If you'll remember I was a little non-plussed upon hearing the new material live this past Spring. Well, let's just say, I'm glad that I reserved judgement, because these songs are just fucking swell, friends.

With song titles like "A Children's Crusade On Acid, Hello Vagina, and The Ocean (Is Bleeding Salt)," you really can't go wrong. It's a great cd, it's a lot of fun and I recommend it to anyone looking for something good to get into:

It's a .m4a, but if you've got iTunes you'll be fine.

In return, I'm owed "We All Stand Together" by Paul McCartney, and also preferably the B-side "We All Stand Together (Humming Version)." I know it'sv a bit childish, but I like it. Internet's a bit scarce on it, and the only way it seems to be available is by downloading a massive .rar, which I'm not too keen on doing just for one song. I'd also rather not download a crappy version off YouTube.

Any help would be appreciated!

Guys, there are other places to look besides here. This thread wasn't made for people to just put down orders and wait for their music to arrive. Requesting albums is fine, but you're supposed to both request AND share, and seeing all of these people just join and go "yo, who's got _____" and then disappear is really kinda lame.

I like to find new music, especially through threads like these (I get most of my music from a Mediafire thread on another webforum), and I use the forum to find new things I haven't been looking for or things I wasn't expecting. I use the internet to find things I'm looking for.

Seriously, not to point directly at you IamSam, and this whole thing isn't directed at you at all, because I know you've been sharing and utilizing the thread as its meant to be, but I just looked at google for about 5 seconds and got AC/DC - High Voltage, which is the album with TNT.

Understood. My problem with sharing is that no one is requesting things I have. And when they do others swoop in before I can post it. It's happened to me twice before.

Thank you, as well!

coke_a_holic
10-07-2008, 08:01 PM
Well, that's the point of sharing. You have something you don't think anyone's heard, or you think people might want, you just post it because it's a nice thing to do. I can guarantee someone somewhere will want what you've got, if you put it up with a little description, maybe someone will pick it up.

Sure, most of the people here are all single-minded only-want-music-they've-heard-of blah blah blah, but there are plenty of us willing to give nearly anything a try if it sounds good in writing.

Nah, nah, it's not like that. I mean, like, that feeling you get when you hear something EVERYONE should know. You're listening to something for the first time, or it feels like the first time again, and all you want is to let everyone know how great it is and let them experience it, too.

That's when you post it.

disclaimer_07
10-08-2008, 12:46 AM
Yeah... Another thing is that many of you posting requests here don't really try to find what you want on your own. The Internet is really a vast source of music. Usually it would take me less than 30 seconds to find any album/song anyone has ever asked for in this thread. Sometimes I just don't have time.

<3 Okkervil River, and I definitely suggest that to everyone ever, it's really a great cd. And which Guster cd should I get first?

Also, if you're like these cds, Per, I'd check out the Margot/Nuclear So & Sos one; it's a dancy, introspective, and generally great band. They describe themselves as "chamber pop."

Animal!/Not Animal by Margot & The Nuclear So And So's.

I had to stop by and say that I'm LOVING it. Thanks. Although, I am not particularly loving your description. Not that I'm any good at music reviews myself, so I hate to criticize, but I don't think it sounds anything like Cursive or Sufjan Stevens, and I'm really not a fan of either of those bands/artists, so if I were just basing my downloading on that, I might not have even downloaded it. Luckily your "if you're a fan of music..." comment and your general good taste prompted me to download it regardless.

I'd be more tempted to compare them to Death Cab and Coldplay (yeah, I know...). It's just good indie rock, that sounds like a bunch of stuff. But it's good.

Favourite tracks: 1,4,10,11.

I mean, it doesn't sound like either band, it sounds like where they would converge at one point. I had a lot of trouble describing what they sound like, and that was the best I could come up with.

I don't really think they sound much like Coldplay or Death Cab, either, though. It's like, they sound like so many things that I recognize that I can't possibly put them to any single one.

They're just really fucking good.

I'd say Keep It Together. There's a couple songs on there that sounded a little too produced/single-ish to me at first, but they're very good anyway so I stopped caring.

Well I've downloaded, but I haven't got a chance to listen to it yet.
