Is it another band with the same name? It sounds not really like Dexter.

Although it was quickly dismissed. There is a really small chance that they might have been involved though. It's a reissue of a late 80's collection from Mystic (NOFX and Bad Religion for instance were on the label back then, and mystic has released some old NOFX songs throughout the years).

pro (mostly based on wishful thinking):
-sounds offspringish catchy
-guy tries really hard to sound British
-time frame

contra:
-a UK collection
-singer doesn't really sound like Dexter (then again in I wanna be sedated or autonomy he doesn't either)
-never been mentioned by the band

So it's prolly a British band that watched the same movie in 1987 and named their band Offspring and recorded a quite catchy song around 89-90.
