Now I'll be the first to admit that I suck really bad at all things musical, but that aside, I'd like some help.

I have the verse down, no problem, but I just can't seem to make the chorus sound even remotely right.

I can only find one bass tab for the song, but I think the tab is fine. I think I'm the problem.

This is the tab I'm going off of: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/o/offspring/dirty_magic_btab.htm

If anyone could possibly upload an audio file of the bass separately, or maybe play it a little slower or something, that would probably be helpful... Or any other help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I really have no idea why I can't make it sound right. It seems like it should be a very easy song.

I've never got around to learning the chorus, because most of the tabs I have seen have all had different choruses. I'm going to have to figure it out myself I suppose, but I'll probably use this to help me ... http://offspring.ipshit.com/index.php?dir=audio/MIDI/02%20-%20Ignition/&file=06%20-%20The%20Offspring%20-%20Dirty%20Magic.mid

I'll get back to you on it, but good luck with it.

Thanks for the link. Even if it doesn't end up being very helpful, it's certainly entertaining.

i realise youre not asking for a new tab, but tried playing it like this?

G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------
D|----------------------------------------------------------------7----------
A|--5/7------7------5/7------7-----------------5------5---5-5-5-----5-5-5----
E|------0-0-----0-0-----0-0----0--0-0-3---3-3----3-3-------------------------

i had the same problem learning this song. the actual physical playing the notes was easy enough but you had to play it in an awkward speed or rhythm to get it to sound like it does on cd.

That really helps, thank you. I don't quite have it yet but I'm a lot closer. It's probably just the speed I'm playing at now.

You can download a trial of Guitar Pro and use my GP tab if you can't get the timing down. It's also on Ultimate Guitar.
