The Offspring have toured with alot of great bands. I've seen them play with Lit, The Dickies, MXPX, Staind, Puddle of Mud, The Start, and Wilhelm Scream. In addition, they've played with just about every big name in punk rock.

So with the upcomming tour - assuming that in the US and Europe they have their own headlining tour as opposed to playing only big festivals and radio shows, who do predict, or who would you prefer they tour with? (other than your second and third favorite band..)

Realistically? Nothington*, Teenage Bottlerocket*, or A Wilhelm Scream would be pretty solid openers for the band. A couple slightly more well known bands that I could possibly/ would like to see them play with would be the Horrorpops or Goldfinger.

All of the bands that I’ve mentioned either have upcoming releases, or have recently put out a new album, and thus would be touring/ continuing to tour around the same time as The Offspring when they finally put out their new album.

* I’m willing to wager that not many people here have heard of these two bands, but check them out, a couple solid upcoming punk bands.

You know what I dont really recall. It was 4 years ago. I guess it was a radio show that KROCK put on in NYC. I guess I didnt pay much attention to the openers, I'd think I would remember seeing Puddle of Mud play.

It'll be kinda nice a tour with Green Day.

Well my first post was my "realistic" preference/ prediction for a tour. Now for my totally "not ever going to happen" dream tour(s),

A new 'Pop Disaster Tour' with Green Day and Jimmy Eat World

A "90s throwback tour" with NoFx, and the newly reunited Mighty Mighty Bosstones

another semi-realistic prediction of bands i could see the Offspring touring with could be:

No Use For A Name or even Anti Flag (Both of whom have new albums coming out)

i'd love to see Bad Religion and The Offspring together in a tour, but being realistic, i think The Hives would be a good opener

i cant see them doing a co headline tour which is pretty much what it would need to be with some of the major bands listed! their main support will most likely be a band from nitro!

Thanks. seemed like an odd match, but that explains it.

I'd love to see them tour with The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, A Wilhelm Scream or some of their old friends like pennywise, nofx something like that.

I think an awesome tour would be:
Offspring, Pennywise, Bad Religion, NOFX (in no specific order)

I know it's been said several times before, but I'd like to see them tour with Bad Religion because I haven't seen either band live yet, and that would be the ultimate opportunity and make me buy tickets to go. It'll never happen though... but it would be cool if it did.

Realistically, I'd hope they'd tour with A Wilhelm Scream... that would be just as cool. Or maybe Against Me!

I saw AFI open up for them...great, huh?

There was a time they had Lit and Silverchair opening up for them...what a nice bill!

I'd like to se them at a Festival! With nice bands opening up...like Hemet, Rancid, Ash, Bad Religion...I'd like to see the RHCP / Foo Figthers, etc. opening up for them - but that is not gonna happen!

Pennywise.

Id love to see them play with Pennywise, since theyre my second favorite band. They used to tour with them back in 93-94 i believe. But I think thatd be quite a stretch now, they're fans are kinda different scenes. At least around here, that might work better in Europe?

Ill name a couple other big name openers that have a quasi-chance of actually happening. In no particular order of preference: Paramore, The Ataris, Jimmy Eat World, Fallout Boy, The Used, Boys Like Girls, Coheed, Say Anything, Social Distortion, Bullettraintovegas, Much The Same. Did I hear TSOL was touring again? Cuz that'd be hot.
