:) Well, when I first heard Gone Away, I thought, what a nice band, they are not like the others... Their music is brilliant and they are very clever)) Then I bought my very first CD - Ixnay on the Hombre... That was great) I listened to it 100 times a day and was never dull of it) :)

its still open so for the time being, you are wrong! id say the offspring have their own distinct sound within the "punk" scene, rather than a lot of bands who just sound too similar to all the others! i cant remember the first impression i had but that was one i soon formed!

The first one I remember hearing was Self Esteem. I was sort of indifferent to it, but then again I was like five. The one that really got me interested was Why Don't You Get a Job. I was on the way to the fair and heard it on the radio. I remember thinking, "How come they get to say bitch and I can't?"
I was in fourth grade and I believe that I had gotten in trouble for saying female dogs were called bitches. Anyway, yeah, ever since then I've been addicted. The Offspring are the best!

Same thing but with "Pretty Fly For A White Guy". My first rock band that I was into. Got me into more rock bands, which led to me liking Punk and Ska then liking a wide range of music, but mainly Punk, Ska and Reggae. I haven't been here for a while, is Noodles bald yet?

I remember that I was channel hoping sometime in the early to mid '90 and there they were, on stage (not sure where) singing Walla Walla. My first reaction was WOW and I have been fan of the band ever since. :D :D :D

Same with me, but then I heard self esteem, turned me around within the first verse!

It was proly in 2001, I was just 10 years old and I saw the Original Prankster video on MTV (in those days I still did) and I though "Whoa, those guys are cool!" or something like it. Then I remember seen the Want You Bad video and thinking the same thing again.. Until I got my Greatest Hits 2 years ago and learned to aprecciate the whole thing. Now I got all their Full-Lenght albums.

My first song I ever heard from them was All I want, and I remember saying myself 'Oh my god, that's pretty fast!' Then I heard Self Esteem and I just felt like 'Whoa, that's the music for me!' It was back in the beginning of 1997... And then Ixnay came...

The offspring is amazing. the first song I heard was from Americana. My parent's wouldn't let me buy there cds at the time so my love for the band grew larger in anticipation of being able to own there stuff. I need to buy all there albums soon.

My brother introduced me to them, and I was immediately blown away. No lie, they became my favorite band after that, and the only band I would listen to for years to come.

I used to play bass guitar, I could play some songs, the best I could was Bad Habit
I think first song i really listen was The Kids Arenīt Alright. My former friend used to listen offspring all the time, but i didnīt really pay attention to the music wich was playing on the backround. Shame, eh...

i agree with the dude above, i saw the 'spring first at the MEN back in '01 and i 'came' all over the heads of the people in front of me when the band strolled onstage to Bad Habit.

I'll tell ya something. COAP was the 1st song I heard, but I was in kindy-garten so I didn't think much of it. I heard Self-Esteem when I was 15 and I was like, "Wow! This is good." Then a year after that, I heard TKAA and I just had to know who those guys were and then I became a raving Offspring fan!!!
