The Offspring riff

I dont know what i should call it but do anyone know what the riff is. You hear it for the first time in the end of smash, then you hear it in change the world. i think there are more places you hear it but cant remembder more now Then in the later albums its just gone. Anyone know what i mean??

You also hear a faster version of it in Genocide on the Smash album. I know what you mean, they never use it again after Change the World. Thats probably because they want to use different riffs, and not use the same riff on each album. When they used it in Genocide, they probably thought it was a pretty cool riff, so they changed it around a bit and experimented with it at the end of Smash. Once they started making Ixnay, they probably wanted to use that different version of the riff that they were experimenting with, so they just used it in Change the World. After that they must have said Fuck it this is getting boring, and forgot about it. Sorry, im rambling on, i'll stop. I don't know if this has made any sense. :confused:

Its a pretty awsome riff and yes it would get old if they used it in every album, well i dunno it could be like their signature sound.

i've always wondered about that rift. because they obviously had something in mind for it when they put it at the end of smash, and then they put out change the world which is probably my favorite song off ixnay. its a glimpse of the future...thats what it is (or was).
