Bad Religion will be coming back with a new album in the future, but according to a fansite (http://www.thebrpage.net/news/?newsID=1616), their bassist Jay Bentley said that they're not going to release it until 2010 because they're going to spend most of 2009 touring around. Here's what he had to say:
graffin teaches jan / feb / mar..
japan early april
warped tour late june / july / aug
australia end of sept / oct
so there is really only nov / dec left for recording. there isn't much material as of now, but we could probably guess with 99% certainty that we will be working on new material for 2010.
30 years... seems cool
2010 may still be a long wait, but I'm very much exicited for the new album. Anyone else exicited too?

I'll gladly wait three years for a Bad Religion album, if New Maps of Hell is any indication.

I preferred Empire to New Maps; but still, 2002 onwards has become my favorite era of Bad Religion. So whenever it comes out, i'm still excited.

I quote! I really like a few songs from previous years but New America(1999?) onwards is my cup of tea, relating to Bad Religion

I hope so. According to The Answer Wiki (http://www.doc-ent.com/theanswer/index.php?title=New_Maps_Of_Hell), it might appear on the next Bad Religion record.

They're keeping hope alive. As long as Graffin stays away from webcams in the meantime, i'll be fine.

2000.. cup of tea???
I don't know what that means, but I love New America... I think they won't come to Mexico this year...

Cup of tea means something that's preferable...something that's good. So basically, it's a compliment.

I wouldn't actually mind waiting another three years for their next album. It's good so that Brett could continue working at Epitaph.

Yeah, NOFX and BR are the bands that can't fail to release good records, just like The Offspring, Social Distortion and Rancid.

Really "meh" about the NOFX thing, not exactly a fan of theirs on any level. But I guess it has to be better than BR's supporting acts last time.
Saw them in Brisbane last time, this seems pretty quick for a return here. Still, no way I'm complaining. I'll be there again, even if it is a sucky outdoor venue that really happens to...well, suck.
Is Brett joining the band this time, anyone know? Not that it matters. But last time he must have been doing Epitaph-y type stuff.
So, you live in Australia, is that how you got see BR in Brisbane?
is there an official bad religion thread???

From a new interview with drummer Brooks Wackerman:
"Brett and Greg have already started work on some new material. I'm yet to hear any of their ideas but when we get back from Australia and New Zealand we're going to start pre-production on the next record. It's just a matter of getting the songs together and making the best record we can. But in 2010 we're definitely releasing a new album."

Yes, there is! I bet 2010 is gonna be a great year, we'll have new albums from Social Distortion, Bad Religion, Rise Against, Blink-182 and The Offspring (let's hope that happens).

While we keep on waiting for the new album, Bad Religion is giving away a new live album for free, it's called 30 Years Live. Just sign up on their official website (http://www.badreligion.com/mailinglist.html) if you want to download it.

Yeah, I was hoping they debut some of their new material on the live album.
I signed up for it. Looking forward to listening to the new stuff along with the live versions of the older songs.
