How do you deal with nutrition? Are you concerned about what's good for your health or are do you eat what you like and don't care about your health?

Personally, I love to eat stuff I like, even if it's rather unhealthy(like pizza, ice cream, french fries or meat) but I also have healthy stuff very often and try not to eat too much.

I love wave chicken with a rice.
As you can see on my avatar, I love live chickens, too. :)

I love chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, chocolate and chocolate.
I hate pork and I donīt eat it and it helps me look good even if I eat lots of chocolate :D

You can eat everything, but you have to move a little every day.

I eat when I'm hungry. I eat a variety of things, not all healthy but a lot of them are. I don't have a conscious obsession about the food I eat, I kind of just eat when I want to/what I feel like. Thankfully I don't always feel like eating and I like nutritious food as well as non-nutritious ones.

I'm one of those guys that doesn't worry about nutrition AT ALL. Like, the past week, I had 3-4 sodas a day, Cup Noodles for lunch, Easy Mac for dinner, and pizza for dinner again.

It does kinda piss me off that I am really really skinny, too. I'm sort of trying to put a little bit of fat on me, even though women tell me they would kill to have my body (which actually doesn't help my situation).

I could mostly eat whatever I want without gaining extra weight ever since I decided to stop drinking soda. The only thing I specifically try to aim for is getting 100% of my daily fiber. 1 cup of Fiber One a day does it. I've been enjoying perfect shits since I started.

Maria, you made me lol.

I'm moderately concerned about what I eat. I do my best to cut extra calories and eat things like fruit and yogurt. But I'll be damned if you think you are taking pizza away from me.

i should care about it, since i do not eat every food item there is, but to be honest, i really don't care about it! but sometimes i make my decisions about what to eat based on my latest nutrients intake...(but it only happens once in a while...)

I'm hardcore.

Most recent snack: low fat plain yogourt, vanilla protein powder, fresh ground flax seeds, homemade cranberry sauce with only a bit of sugar, slivered almonds. Seriously.

My best testimonial as to the benefits of nutrition is that I have not been sick in 14 months. That blows my mind. Before shaping up health-wise, I was sick (just with a cold) 2-3 times a year, and it usually lasted 2-3 weeks before full recovery. There are other contributing factors beside food though, including exercise and sleep, so I can't quite pinpoint the specific cause or whether it's a combination of the three.

I used to be a bit of a fatty, and every since I really put my mind to losing weight a few years, I'm a walking calory table. I can tell you how many calories are in everything I regularly eat (or used to eat). It's good in some ways, because it stops me from growing back to my old size, but it's pretty damn frustrating to have "I am putting *number* calories in my body right now" in my head with everything I eat.

Don't worry, your metabolism will slow down eventually...

though this is a terrible way to gain weight.

I lost about 20 pounds a little over a year ago. I didn't go the calorie counting route. For me, my focus was, "What will burn quickly and boost my metabolism?" So I ate a lot of fruit and yogurt and unintentionally nearly went vegetarian. I learned to make a lot of things like tofu stir fry and really bitchin bean burritos. Not just because they are light and burn off easily. They are also extremely tasty and cheap to make. A pan of stir fry could give me dinner for three days using only half a bag of veggies and half a block of tofu.

well... i'm a bit of a health freak who loves comfort food. i also love delicious gourmet treats, which are usually really bad for you (triple creme cheeses, pates, ridiculous desserts). at the same time, though, i thoroughly enjoy "health food"... sprouts, tofu, kefir, egg whites, nuts, raw vegetables and granola. so it evens out. these days, i usually eat a really healthy breakfast and lunch, and then eat rich/unhealthy stuff for dinner, which is not the smartest thing to do... but hey!
although today i had grilled chicken, baked sweet potato and a salad, so it's not like i have unhealthy food every night... ;p

hm. what else. i try to eat organic/free range whenever possible. i don't count calories - ever - because i firmly believe it's bad for one's mental health. at least, it's bad for my mental health. i have a bit of a diet coke habit, which is awful... i limit myself to a can a day these days, though.

I grew up with incredibly healthy food in my life. I never drank coke, we never had chocolate in the house, we didnt eat fast food. My mom cooked persian food everyday, a cuisine which is hard to make and takes up a lot of effort and time. I was very healthy, and most of the time I didnt miss unhealthy food. Therefore, healthy food was never something I had to eat, but something I naturally ate, and loved. Today I love all fruits and vegetables, I love meat and fish, I love rice, potatoes, pasta...I love it all.

I suspect that the way I grew up is why I am so easy going with food. I eat whatever I want whenever I want. I just listen to my body. Due to my job I dont have any biological rhythm whatsoever, so I guess I am lucky that I can do it like that. When I am hungry I'll eat what I feel like eating. Sometimes I really crave a steak, at other times I'd rather throw up than touch meat. I dont count calories and I'll have all types of sweets and chocolate. I love fast food and I love veggie sticks. The whole trick is: stop to eat as soon as you arent hungry anymore, or have had enough of whatever you are eating.

When I was ~introduced~ to fast food I gained about 10kg. After a year or two I learned how to deal with it. Now I'm at my ideal weight and I consider myself healthy, I dont think I need to watch what I eat...my body automatically does this job for me.
