There is something strangely fun *rolls eyes* about standing in the POURING rain, in the FREEZING cold, in a fucking TINY tweed skirt and fucking BALLET FLATS trying to get a cab." And of course getting one is damn near impossible cause everyone else in NYC ALSO thought "fuck this, it's too nasty, i'm taking a cab", and so I was standing there, SOAKING FUCKING WET, with my $4000 computer AND my $1500 camera SOAKING WET too.

yes, actually, because if a $100 point-and-shoot camera stopped working because it got all wet, i'd be like "ergh" and go buy a new one. Which is NOT the case with the camera I have now.

I love the rain if I'm actually prepared for it. It sucks that you and your belongings got soaked, Sunny. But then again, doesn't it feel extra lovely when you come home to a warm, dry room?

Ahhhhh! And since I only have pretty much one pair for any given season, I'm screwed once they're soaked.
I went to look for galoshes today to wear on my hike through the mud puddles every morning but didn't find any. I think they just make them for kids...

Also, Sunny, I sympathize, but you shouldn't be wearing little skirts and ballet flats in such weather in the first place, unless of course it was bright and sunny when you left the house in the morning. Then that just sucks.
