Anyone love this band besides me? I love ALL their songs that they have ever had..but the most recent favorite songs I like by Interpol is Evil and Slow Hands...Do you like this band?

My friend burned me a couple of their cd's, but I never managed to sit through more than 2 songs before turning them off. They don't do anything for me. I mean, I like Radiohead and Sigur Ros, both of whom tend to fall in a simliar category, but I just can't get into Interpol.

Wow...I just naturally used the word 'whom'. I feel smart.

I have no idea what either of them look like. But I do agree that Joy Division have a huge influence on Interpol, so you should check them out, despite their horrible horrible singer. It's weird though, cause I always imagined I would like Joy Division if they had another singer, but I don't like Interpol. I guess I was wrong.

Well...considering Joy Division only released something like 2 albums before their singer killed himself in 1980, it's kind of hard to guage popularity considering the difference in time. Either way, Joy Division still have new people becoming fans 25 years later, where I doubt Interpol will be the same way.
