I am fully aware of the fact that there was a thread like this already, but I thought "What the Hell." I didn't think people took full advatage for the preveus thread so, here you go.

Hoobastank, Dave Matthews Band, Dashboard Confessional, Los Lonely Boys, and Lenny Kravitz. They're all insults to music, but they're played alot.

Agreed, it seems like everything in German is cool nowadays. Musically they're quite alright though.

Bit maybe, but the guy made excellent songs, and has a good way with words. Plus he can do many different styles of vocals.

They had an awesome song. But yes, overrated. Even the worst 'bands' can have fun songs.

green day
is a very good band and I like it, but is still a bit overrated

nirvana
is the most overrated band ever, people talk and write like they were legends of rock, but two thirds of their fame belongs to the suicide.

foo fighters
are decent but not so special

almost all of their songs sound the same, but they`re not bad, overrated anyway

eminem
is ok, nothing more. will smith kicks his ass any time, afaic

as unoriginal as a band can be

ain`t bad but ain`t so good either, decent. I won`t change the frequency if they play 3doorsdown on the radio, but in my opinion, they aren`t as good as the sell-records claim.

Hmm, let me think.

Iron Maiden. At least in here. In my opinion. Couple of good songs but not worth the famous they have here.

The Fuck are you talking about? The Clash kicked! They created all the bands today, if it werent for them n the sex pistols n the ramones we wouldnt have any punk bands today. Green Day is extremely overrated, and I can honestly say Ive liked them since it was cool to like them, when it wasnt cool, and when it was again lol

That might be so, but I think they'll always be know for Teen Spirit. Their other songs in my opinion are to whiny.

I appreciate what they have done for punk music, for what it was. (I DO NOT appreciate bands like good charlotte saying the clash, ramones, and Sex Pistols influenced them).
I just think the Clash are overrated, compared to the Dead Boys, Adicts, Damned, UK Subs, etc...

Do you know who any of them are, except for the damned?

I'm sure there's more that I think are overrated, but I'm too lazy to think about it properly.

i know who ALL of them are and they wouldnt be anything without the clash. plus...no punk rock band at the time (especially from the uk) had anywhere near lyrics that were as intelligent as those from the clash. punk isnt all about being loud and fast, ya know?

Stairway to Heaven. Infact, no, all of Led Zeppelin 4. What an album.. one of the best in rock history.

Anyway.. Nirvana, and The Darkness. I don't think Green Day are overrated, just overplayed.

stairway to heaven isnt even rock and roll, let alone one of the *GREATEST OF ALL TIME*. the fuckin temptations had stuff harder than that. god bless nirvana for taking all that attention off that band that just got all the attention from jimmy page dicking around on weird, exotic guitar scales.

I completely agree with the fact that Nirvana was made a legend with the suicide of Kurt Cobain, but still I don't think it's overrated.
As for Metallica, GOD yes. They've made I think 5 movies about their history, and how no one understands them anymore and blah blah blah. And people still like them after that.
