Blindside, I`m under the impression that Blindside is from sweden, it`s one hell of a band, they really rock.

That is a poorly created list of bands there are tons more that are better than those that are from the Scandinavian area, therefore, it is not worth my brain cells to vote. Not to mention the only one even worth talking about is Nightwish whom I don't really like that much either.

But you could write a 3 line reply? Anyway, as I said before, their scandinavian and probably suck acording to a lot of people. (the thing I really wanted to know was how many that had heard of them....)

I've heard of all of them but only like the hives and nightwish (O wait I LOVE nightwish. They are one of the best bands around :D )

Have you really heard of Yngwie Malmsteen? I thought he was some old guy that was popular in the 80's...Perhaps he's famous...I noticed he even got two votes...That's a suprise :)

Yeeeeeaaaa! I remember that I once heard him talk during a "heavymetal night"(12 hours of heavy metal \m/ (>o<) \m/) a swedish tv chanel had. He said something like he didn't want to be able to look like his idols. This was before a Judas Priest consert and their singer, Rob Halford, pretty much inveted lether in metal (he later turned out to be gay...). And they where discussing punk bands who just wore jeans and t-shirts (like Offspring I suppose).

Norway - Turbonegro. i dont think i know any other norwegian bands... :confused:
Denmark - Lars Frederiksen & The Bastards :p (i know he's only half danish and lives in the states but i still consider them as a danish band! :)

I didn't think anyone would know Backyard Babies here....and noone likes abba....didn't think of In Flames....Forgot HIM, Apocalyptica and 69 eyes. I have a girl in my class who's obsseded with finish music....She loves The 69 Eyes, Apocalyptica and Nightwish.

They still have more talent than a lot of the bands named in this thread.
Denmark: Umm... Metallica.
Finland: The band you don't know, but from the most known ones maybe Nightwish then. Not a fan really but all listenable.
Norway: I know only Dimmu Borgir. They're absolutely horrible naturally. Oh, I've heard some Turbonegro from the Wildboyz series too.
Sweden: I don't know, Sahara Hotnigts. Heard only a few songs though, but seems there's not any great Swedish bands around.

So we all agree: NORWAY CAN'T MAKE MUSIC! And Denmark have one famous drummer, but that's about it.
Norway has a vicious black metal scene but I'm not into that. Also, I think some of the band members have murdered other bands' members. That's a bit too vicious for a lot of people's taste.

Finland has so many great bands, i prefer Apulanta,don huonot and apocalyptica,but i voted nightwish which is a bit better then the hives, i would have been nice if there would have been the sounds from sweden its a great band, I dont know any norwaygian band ,but now i know that dimmu borgir is from norway, that i know that norway has big black metal scene. Denmark: safer duo or something like that and lars urlich.
