So who hear uses soulseek? (http://www.slsknet.org/) I'd say its easily the best program for music sharers - really is amazing what rarities you can find on it. What rooms can you be found in? And have any recommendations for anyone else to download off yourself?
Well I hang about in p*tastic (uk based) and i'd recommend thieving anything by Capdown off me

I think you're missing the point of soulseek being a pretty good music community as a whole, thats what makes it even better

I used to use kazaa for music but now all the files are all fucked up. It's still good for videos though. I been hearing good things about bit torrent.

Or if you want to check out the album before you're actually gonna buy it. That's what I usually do.

I buy music.
So does anyone, doesnt mean they shouldnt download it to try before you buy, seriously who the fuck wants to buy an album they don't like? (Soulseek reduces that)

doesn't soulseek have long queues?

well you can get around that with small donations but I suppose its all about making friends with people who've got alot of music you like, as alot of users restrict who can download off them to reduce queues.....but at least you a queue number is a bit more helpful than just a "remotely queued" status on kazaa

I used to use that. I also used to use Win Mx. I now use LimeWire. It's a lot faster then Shareaza.

LimeWire is better than WinMX for only one major reason: LimeWire doesn't suck.

yeah, limewire tends to have low waits on downloads, but it only interfaces with the gnutella network whereas shareaza works across ed2k, gnutella, gnutella2 and bittorrent protocols. i prefer the broad search capabilities to mildly quicker download times as i'm typically only downloading very rare files.
