Is it possible for the hard rive in a computer to actually stick. Last night the computer froze up and nothing would boot it past any of the initial tests. The hard drive was not working at all. This morning I shook the fucking thing, now it is working.

yeah, it could happen.. but if it happened once it'll happen again, and you'll probably get platter damage this time. back up the whole thing and get a new hard drive, just in case.

Hard drives are pretty darn cheap nowadays so its not gonna be too bad on your finances.

I was planning to get a slightly bigger one seeing as this one is only a 40 GB drive. It just pisses me off, because the drive is barely 6 months old. Luckily it's under warrenty.
