they're still my favourite band, but now they're saling themselves by mtv, or others!
I don't think thats good for their image as a punkband!

I don't hate American Idiot, but I do hate Dookie, because it's overrated. Insomniac is clearly their best CD, and its sad that no one else agrees with me.

I like Warning best, personally. It has some good acoustic guitar on a couple of the songs...

Westbound Sign, Geek Stink Breath, Brain Stew, and Brat all rule...and so do the other 10 songs.

Once again, Dookie is overrated.

What about Nimrod? That one was cool. My brother has it. I liked the track Hitchin' A Ride alot. I also liked Redundant, and I recently saw the video for Redundant online. It doesn't really live up to the song, but it's an okay video. The Hitchin' A Ride video changed my vision of the song permanently after I watched it. It was so frickin weird :eek:

Nimrod was ok, but like American Idiot, it only has a few good songs. Hitchin' a Ride, Prosthetic Head, and ... no, those are the only songs I like. I guess i just lost interest in the CD after a while.

no its not, they have always been on MTV. never as much as now though. personally i grew up greenday and i really like greenday, but im so sick of hearing about them. they are all over magazines tv the radio. im just so sick of them.

VERY NICE! Insomniac #1!! Although American Idiot, musically genius. Actually take the time to listen to the album and listen to the lyrics. Maybe catch up on the fact that maybe its a story???? And that it could be called a Rock Opera and when you do Rock Operas, bands tend to grasp any sort of music style to suit the story line and the music. Don't hate American Idiot just because Green Day tried too hard on it. Try to understand that Rock Operas are very very carefully planned the way the lyrics, the music, presentation, storyline and all that goes.

Well thats good, i think the story is fucking genius too by the way. Thats another thing i like about Rock Operas, is that theres a story line and it still goes through many other things, other than talking about politics, it talks about isolation, insanity, love, breakups, memories, ignorance, and fucking million other things. Its just brilliant. Other great rock operas people should check out would be The Wall - Pink Floyd (best rock opera to my opinion, just amazing), Tommy - The Who, Quadrophenia - The Who. And also Dark Side Of The Moon - Pink Floyd (not a rock opera, a concept album but it is the best concept album out there, and it SORT of has a story line i mean its very well structured)

Insomniac is the first Green Day CD I heard. My brother owned it.

Oh, and I saw the Geek Stink BReath video for the first time and it was kinda gorey...I loved it. :D
