I never used to be Teh Popular in school, but I played hockey with enough of those girls. just as many of them suck, as of the non-popular ones. non-popular ones just often pretend to be nicer, good-hearted & better than popular kids, because they have everything to lose; the few friends they have. plus they have to make up for their lack of social life some way or another.
as SOON as you need your precious good-hearted, nice, cute, little, ugly friends, you'll find they have as much of a problem with turning their back on you & walking away, as a 'popular', 'materialistic' girl would have, with the same ease & just as fast.

I find myself against the popular people simply because of the stereotypical ones at my school and at movies. This one kid starts screaming at me whenever I try to say my own opinion during class, and simply because he is so popular, he gets about 8 people to back him up. It's not that I don't have friends in the class, it's that they don't want him yelling at them, too. We have stupid arguments, and whenever I say something that makes sense to him, he makes up some stupid 6th grade thing like "I'm right, game over. That means it's done and any point you make is no longer real!" I just wish that the stereotypical "Popular Kid" wasn't so true, because that's just like every other kid that's popular in my school. I tend to dislike popular ppl at least initially ,because it was popular ppl who made my life hell at school. Entire groups of them would hurl abuse and riducule at me on a daily basis.And then of course there were the ring leaders,who would start the whole thing.One comment about me from a ring leader would lead to an entire lesson/lunchbreak of abuse-hurling/laughter at my expense.

The ‘popular’ girls will be the ones having a fucking water fight whilst us ‘losers’ are trying to work (happened last Friday - lovely)! They’ll be the ones who have stupid ‘Sesame Street’ on their tops, literally hang from guys’ shoulders all the time, they’re the ones who act like utter retards in class with their stupid comments and childish behaviour which still gains laughs because they are ‘popular’.

i don't think all the people who go to proms are looking for showing up with the most expensive dress. Some people just like to go to an elegant party once in a while, and... what's wrong with liking nice dresses? Or maybe they see in a prom the opportunity to do something they don't usually do.

besides, it's a very important date for most people (yes, i said MOST, not ALL). Maybe that's why they like that kind of parties.

For me, i don't like going to proms. i think it's a lot of money for just one night. i don't go to elegant parties of formal reunions and stuff, so i'm not interested in buying a dress and shoes that i won't wear more than once or maybe twice in my life. But still, i don't have anything against people liking that kind of parties, they all have their own reasons to go.
