Mawwige!
One of my co-workers is getting married in a week and a half. She's been planning it since I knew her, about three months ago. She's poured over invitations, matching bridesmaids outfits, all the minutia. She's made sure that she has precise directions for everything. She's tried to find the perfect Celine Dion song for her first dance with her new husband. I'm not going to that wedding.
I'm going to my friend's wedding. When I heard that John Chang was getting married, I was flabbergasted. John Chang... married? John motherfucking Chang is getting married? Then I heard the details and it all made sense. This was my wedding invitation:
"come to Long Island the 29th of May call me 401 XXX XXXX
Ethan"
It was over thefacebook.com. The title was "Chang is getting married". Apparently, Chang told Ethan to invite whomever he wanted. Chang didn't really want to get bogged down in the little details of his wedding, such as the guest list. This was on May 9th. Needless to say, it's a haphazard operation.
But it's OK, I'm a haphazard kinda guy. I know I'm flying into Newark, New Jersey at 7:10 p.m. on Friday and that I'm flying out of Newark, New Jersey about the same time on Monday. I know that at some point I'll probably be staying at Julia's house. I don't exactly know how to get there. At some point I'll probably be on Long Island too. I don't know anything about transportation or accomadation just yet.
Ethan told me the bachelor party would be Saturday, so I made sure I'd be in on time, but in the past week or so they decided to change it to Wednesday, and with most people getting in on Saturday, I have absolutely no idea what I'll be doing on Friday. I don't know how many people will be at the wedding or if family members will attend (both their families are in Korea), but I do know that there will be a shit-ton of liquor, to the point that Chang is worried about the wedding getting out of control. Ethan thinks it'll be fine as long as we can reign in Pasha. This is going to be an adventure.
