I'd like to get an Ibanez, but I'd like to know if there are any of them without Floyd Rose? Thanks

You got to be more specific on the type of model that you want. Ibanez has lots of different types of guitars available.
When you say Ibanez, do you mean an rg model? If you mean the rg models, then the ones currently in production are the rg321mh, rgt42dxfx, rga321, rga121,and rg7321(seven string).
Just look through the Ibanez website. If you would have done that, there would be no need for this thread.

Why would you think that I don't?
I got a bunch of Steve Vai signiture Jems in my avatar for God's sake. ;)
BTW, the ones I mentioned all have hardtails.

So, to answer my question, do you know any without Floyd Rose?

I just told you in my first post. Are you blind?

You just rattled off a bunch of models. Are those ones without Floyd Rose?

You'd think you would have infered that by reading my posts.

Yes. I didn't mentioned that they didn't have a floyd rose because that was simply the answer to your question. You could have confirmed that by just goint to the website like I said before.

Maybe if they promoted literacy in school these days, I would actually be able to read those pages. Don't blame me, blame the teachers.

Do they shout out and announce that they don't have Floyd Rose?

By looking at the pictures, you could see if they have floyd roses or not.
I win.

Shit, you're right. Thanks for the help though. I was actually more interested in the RG550 and 570, but they have Floyd Rose. Bummer...maybe I'll get one anyway.

Why don't you want a floyd? I love floating trems.

do like i did, lock the floyd rose or ibanez edge. is simple, just with a piece of three.

you mean block the bridge. Maybe good for tuning stability, but it defeats the main purpose of the floating trem itself, which is to provide a crazy whammy with tuning stability.

christ, all these people that want to be exactly like dexter *sighs*
Mind you, I wouldn't mind a hardtail RG with 11s tuned to drop C, but the Edge III on my RG owns, as jebus will tell you.
edit: i guess he don't want the floyd because of tuning difficulties. like when i first saw a floyd, i shit my pants, but it was hell easy to figure out.

Yeh, I have a Fender Showmaster with Floyd Rose, and that thing is a bitch to tune. The guy at the guitar store said tuning Floyd Rose is how he learned patience. But hell, I guess I'll just have to learn. It's not bad after it's in tune. Could you guys recommend an intermediate RG that I could get for pretty cheap? RG120s are pretty cheap. Are those good?

What do you think about this?

I bet I could get the same model for cheaper.

I've heard bad things about the Lo-TRS trem on the rg270 but I've never actually played one myself. Ibanez upgraded the TRS to the Edge Pro II in 2003 which was apparently a giant improvement. The powersound pickups aren't really that great either.

Tunning really isn't that hard once you do it a couple of times. It just takes a bit of practice, but once you do it, it will stay in tune for weeks.
I wouldn't reccomend any rg that's under the rg3** range. Look into an rg320, rg321, rg350, and rg370 models that were made after 2002 if you're on a tight budget.

I got a Ibanez RG270 it plays very nice. But the pickups aren't that good.

How much would it cost for some better pickups? Would it be worth it to buy an old RG120 for like 100 bucks and just upgrade the pickups?
