I absolutely love them, it's a shame they don't exist anymore though, they'd probably be fun to see live.

actally rancid ain't together at the moment they are doing side projects (ex. Transplants and lars fredriksen and the bastards)

They're still together, but they're just not working on new stuff, but it's not like they stopped with rancid or anything.
I like some of the transplants stuff, not everything though, and skinhead rob is kinda irritating.
Lars and the bastards are amazing, I really love them, they might play on Groezrock, yay!!

edit: And Matt is also in Devils Brigade isn't he? I only heard one song of them, they're psychobilly stuff, pretty nice, oh and he's in social distortion too, or was that Brett?
And I'm really curious about "live freaky, die freaky", I hope I'll be able to see it somewhere, they planned that release for December 2003, haha, but now it's finally ready, it'll go in premiere on some film festival I think.
