Tell me how the fuck is a movie producer meant to recreate "Achellis fought like a god". How?! Brad Pitt did a good job cause he was forceful and awe inspiring in battle. He was quick and powerful. When he went up against that 6ft7" 370lber in the opening that was typical of what the illiad meant by 'fight like gods'. It was something new, not martial arts but just... different.

It didn't fail at anything. You tell me how they should have cast as Achellis. Pitt was awesome. His looks just add to his chracter in the film. I agree Paris was a pussy but that was the idea. They up played the Achellis v Hector scene. And of course Hector was made more nobel than in the illiad because he knew he was killing Achellis cousin.

I ain't read the illiad. But everything about that film was great. I mean the scale of it isn't even in comparson to what it would have been like back then because the buildings weren't so big but it's all about size. I really can't see how they could have gotten the power of Achellis across more. I think Pitt did a good job, an amazing job infact. And Hector was done really well too although a lot more noble.

The film was just.... increadibly sad. The imagination is always superior to any film though, so don't compare it to that. It's unfair.
