Ausie band The living end
 

Hey how many people here listen to the living end? Im from the USA and moved to Australia about 4 years ago and i can safely say that the living end is the best australia has to offer and a very very good band with what i believe is todays best guitarist. If u don't believe me then listen to them NOW.

The Living End are awesome! I'm from Melbourne so they make me proud of my state. My favorite songs are Second Solution and Who's Gonna Save Us? Did anyone watch that episode of Rove Live where the guys from Jet were on the show and said that they wrote fake love letters to them? So fucking hilarious!

Um, Dexter_Holland they have 3 albums and 2 ep's which were then combined to make a full album. They also have an album with all their singles and stuff.

But yeah the Living End rock, I have all 6 of their cds and their 1 dvd.
Chris Cheney is just awsome, its amazing how he can combine so many different guitar styles and cram 'em all into one song.

Best songs (in no particular order)- 2nd Solution, Prisoner of Society, Tabloid magazine, Who's gonna Save us, From Here On In, Save the Day and All torn Down.

They are an awesome band. Haven't heard much, but I've heard enough.

On the covers cd that comes with the From Here On In, it's got a song called Rip It Up - that by any chance a 28 Days cover? They really should hurry up and play the UK, i've been waiting for years...

Now that i did not know. Thats cool. In "from here on in"s inlay theres a picture of chris with billie joe and mike from green day which i thought was cool.

Living end have done plenty of world tours. they realeased a very good, content PACKED dvd (the offspring STILL havent i want one sooooo bad) It had a 2 hour biography thing which showed how they were popular in australia after there first major album and then went to USA and had 2 do it all over again in little shity gigs and got harrased by crowds and crap that would suck so bad to have all this sucess in australia and come to America and get booed off a stage!

Nah it's not the 28 Days song, it's the Elvis Presley version.

The Living End are my favourite band (as you can see from my username). Being from Melbourne, I've seen them a few times already (met em too) so if they come to your country, GO AND SEE THEM!! The DVD is a good buy too.

The Living End are an awesom band!!! And Rip It Up better not be a 28 Days cover... the 28 Days songs is great too but it just doesn't suit The Living End.

I personally don't like The Wrights even though Cheney plays well in it....I hate the lead singer of Jet especially.

Yeah, agree, I absolutely hate jet, and the wrights just sounds like a slightly more skilled/creative version of jet. But still sounds pretty much the same..I reckon when they first made the band they were told what kind of music to make, and seeing jet was the flavour of the month they were told to sound like them.

The world (or at least australia) would be a better place if jet were still stuck playing in bars for 7 hours for $200 every day...

But the worst thing about the wrights is that it has slowed down TLE's new album writing. Although they have some stuff finished already..somebody on the living end board recorded some new songs from a concert and posted them..they sounded alright but nothing special..

The Living End are tops, my favourite Aussie band and are currently floating around my top 15 somewhere or other. Best songs would without be West End Riot and Second Solution.

I am so proud of the living end. They are so cool, and they're Australian!! I got two of their albums (Living end and roll on) and I think they're awesome. I remember the 1st time I heard living end and Green day's Nimrod, I borrowed them from the library and I thought Nimrod was shit. I thought, how can Green day be more popular than the living end? Unfortunately Living end don't even get played on aussie commercial radio. They are pushed aside by absolute shithouse bands like Jet, which I am so ashamed of, and as other people are saying also "The wrights" which doesn't show any of Cheeney's talent.

Im sure most aussies would agree with me, we need less Delta Goodrem and Jet and more Living end on our radio's!!

the living end are one of the best bands in the world today. FACT. Can't wait for the new CD to come out. Problem is, I heard they haven't got a European label for it, so we aren't going to hear it for a looooong while.

Anyone heard "Fond Farewell", i think its a B-Side off the One Said To The Other single? It's probably my favourite TLE song.

Cheney is one of the best, and arguably the best mainstream rock guitarist in Australia, as far as playing ability.

Not anything against the Living End because I do enjoy some of their songs, but if this is true:

then I feel bad for Australia. And no, he's not the best guitarst. Not by a long shot. He can be your favorite if you like his style, but there's no way he's the best out there.

I only got Roll On but that's one of the best cd's I have. And I'm finally going to see the band playing live at the Big Day Out Festival :D (I'm probably going to the Melbourne edition).

I'm going to have to agree with Josh and say that the guitarist is amazing as far as pop-punk goes, but he's got nothing on many guitarists that are still alive and shredding today. I love the Living End, but I doubt they're the best band in Australia.

BTW: I'm too lazy to PM him, but Josh: I got Disco Volante the other day and it's safe to say that everyone I know thinks I have massive brain damage because of it. I <3 the cd like whoa.

There is also a Blunt Magazine CD (I think it's blunt, I'll have to dig it out) with their B-sides on it.

LIVING END IS MAD i seen them 5 times live now and own all there cd's but to say there the best aussie band... hmm Frenzal Rhomb are FUCKEN awsome aswell
