I never checked out John Frusciante even though I saw a review of another album he had released in every "Total Guitar" magazine I bought.
How many albums did he release?? |

he has 4 'studio albums' & 7 others out on an indie label (part of warners i think)
His full length things are - Niadra Lades(n usually just a t-shirt) Smile From The Streets You Hold TO Record Only Water For Ten Days Shadows Collide With People Then the 'record collection' which was done in 2004/5: Will to Death DC - EP Automatic Writing (under Ataxia name) Sphere in the heart of Silence (electronica album w/Josh Klinghoffer) Inside of Emptiness (heavy album) Curtain (acoustic album) Automatic Writing 2 (under Ataxia name) If you like the chilis and are interested in getting into John, then i'd recommend "Shadows..." its the easist album of his to just listen to. If your into acoustic based stuff, then Curtains is not bad too...just not what u'd expect from an acoustic album.

No RHCP album should be on a list like that. Sorry.
But, the Barrett album, and Animal Collective are both great. "Grace" is an album that suffers from what I call "Cobain syndrom". I'd put: The Pixies- Doolittle Husker Du- Flip Your Wig Pink Floyd- Animals Mogwai- Young Team Velvet Underground- The Velvet Underground & Nico. Sonic Youth- Washing Machine Elliot Smith- Either/Or R.E.M.- Fables of the Reconstruction Bob Dylan- Blonde on Blonde
